Beach Pit BBQ Feeds the crew to Extreme Makeover Home Edition
During a home remodel project in 2004…. Costa Mesa, CA – The design team renovate the McCrory family’s home. The family are expecting triplets and require a more spacious baby-friendly home.
“I can’t thank Beach Pit BBQ enough for being a part of SC Homes Extreme Makeover Home Edition Project. It was pouring down rain & they still put a smile on all our faces. Their service is above & beyond. Their food got everyone’s attention!!! The smell of the BBQ brought everyone running into the tent. Everyone was lined up to fill their plates. Their killer BBQ sauce & blueberry cornbread stand on their own, above all other BBQ places. It is a family place everyone leaves with a full belly & a smile!!! Beach Pit BBQ always has you coming back for seconds! ”
One of our Beach Pit BBQ Customers who lives in the area had this to say about the “Home Makeover”.
Okay. Extreme Makeover just finished working on a house down the street from me, and MAN! That was amazing. They completely gutted the house in one week! They poured the foundation for the addition at 7:AM and had it framed in by noon Thursday. I worked volunteer a few days helping hang pictures and move furniture in the house – it is truely amazing what they did.
There was a 40′ container on their street PACKED with baby clothes, strollers, and other baby stuff $$$ They don’t just build the house, they fill up all of the drawers!
Here’s the frustrating part. The ‘reality’ aspects of this show are complete BS. The hosts are your basic run of the mill hollywood actors, and believe it or not, they have absolutely NOTHING to do with the construction, planning, or design of the home. I just spent the past 7 days from start to finish watching the project and this was readily apparent. The actors and camera men pop out of the motorhome for 20 minutes, go and dig a hole (while the real construction workers have to vacate the set), read off a script, and after 2-4 takes, its back to the motorhome.
I sincerely hope ABC cuts the pathetic drama aspect of the show and focus more on the humongus task of what it takes to complete a job like this in 6 days. I was very impressed with everyone with the show, I am proud to have this going on in my neighborhood.
And Speaking about Extreme Home Makeovers. A good friend or ours and general contractor who remodels homes in the Costa Mesa and Orange County area is also a House Flipper.

Polished Concrete and Epoxy Flooring
And if you’re in the marketing to have your garage floor finished, either with polished concrete or epoxy Flooring, then give the guys over at South Coast Epoxy Flooring a call.
If you are looking for a new flooring option for your home or business, you may have come across polished concrete or epoxy flooring. But what exactly are these types of flooring? Here is a brief overview of polished concrete and epoxy floors to help you decide if either one is right for your space.
Polished concrete is created by grinding down the existing concrete until it reaches the desired level of shine. The concrete can then be stained or dyed to create a unique look. Epoxy floors are made up of a liquid resin that is poured over the surface of the concrete. The epoxy bonds with the concrete and hardens to create a durable, glossy flooring option. Both types of flooring are beautiful and can add a designer look to your space.
